Emily VanCamp

Emily Irene VanCamp was born in Canada and is an actor who has appeared in numerous television series. VanCamp also has a great record in the film industry. She has a large following both on American and Canadian television. Emily began acting at 12 after she had a visit with her elder sister Katie in one of Katie's film productions. After discovering her enthusiasm in acting Emily decided to enroll in acting classes and started auditioning. Her first audition was for commercials for a few minutes before getting a part on the Canadian children's horror television show Are You Scared of Darkness? In one single scene she was seen without saying even a single word. In the WB program Glory Days, she received her first break in the industry at the age of 15. Although the show was canceled after only nine episodes, her performance was noticed by Dawson's Creek writer Greg Berlanti who decided to cast her in his television show Everwood. A ballet dancer as well as photographer, Emily was featured as a Teen to be one of their most popular actresses who are under twenty. Maxim's Hot 100 for 2014 listed her as top 51.
