April Lockhart

April Lockhart born 4 July 1995. She began piano and guitar lessons in the 7th grade, which ignited the interest of her. At the age of 12 April composed her first single Different. She spent a lot of time at 14 writing songs and practicing music. Then, in the following months, April began to travel with her dad and write either in NY as well as LA. April was the month that she began to write about other issues in the book, Take My Hand, for the people in her life who are struggling in the face of peer pressure, disability or even suicide. Lockhart also has an ever-growing following as a lifestyle influencer and works for popular brand of clean and natural beauty Ilia. It's true that she was born with no left hand. This creates her unique. But this isn't the only characteristic of her. Lockhart acknowledges her handicap in her posts on Instagram, however she isn't making it the focal point of her story. What's the message? The message? We have many different aspects, that our identities and physical self aren't as they appear. Lockhart says in a video interview with Lockhart via video "I am not convinced that my physical appearance should define my character. I don't intend to influence disability because I have so much more to offer." It doesn't impact my everyday life. I go about everything normally and I've found the best way for me to adapt things. It's an integral aspect of my existence, so it is important to talk about the subject. Lockhart who is an source of inspiration for anyone who wants to be self-accepting, is on a long road to reach the goal. Still she admits she's gone through periods of being uncomfortable with her body, at times, not being confident in wearing particular types of clothes showing off her arms. She is able to wear anything she likes, and happily shares pictures of her dressed in her favorite outfits. Self-love, she says, is a kind of journey. "I don't think you'll be there," she said. That's true of everyone regardless of how much they are afraid. People you associate yourself with that truly understand you and see into your heart are the ones you should be relying on who can remind you of the things you're concerned about.
